Our Work

CLEAN WATER PROJECTS

access to water for every child!

Our organization goes into rural areas of Zimbabwe and finds communities that are in need of clean water access. We work with community leaders and rural district councils to identify these communities. We then fundraise and provide boreholes for these communities. Over 10 boreholes have been provided impacting over 5000 villagers across Zimbabwe. Most of our boreholes are located at local community schools so that young students have easy access to clean water and sanitation.

OLD PEOPLE'S HOME

Smile For Africa has a nursing home or assisted living facility

Our assisted living facility, is a residential care facility designed to provide housing, support, and assistance to older adults who may require help with daily activities or have specific healthcare needs.

Personal Care: Trained staff members are available to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Medical Care: Our home has skilled nursing staff available around the clock to provide medical care and monitoring.

The center offers programs and services designed to help individuals overcome their addiction, manage withdrawal symptoms, and build the skills necessary to maintain sobriety.

EDU-CARE

Smile for Africa provides education for communities in urban and rural settings. The program started in 2010 and has impacted thousands of young people through education. We are working and have access to over 50 schools through the Ministry of Education. We have our own schools in Bulawayo province and Mashonaland West that we operate and run. Under educations scholarships we have over 100 children in our program.

DRUG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

drug free youths!

Drug Abuse is a rising challenge in our communities. Smile has committed to use entertainment to raise awareness against drug abuse. We use local music artists, Djay’s and dance groups to go into communities and raise awareness. Entertainment helps us gather a crowd of young people and we share our message. We do dance competitions and give away prizes from our stakeholders and partners. To date over 500 young people have committed to stop drug abuse and be more responsible.
